Artist's Comments

Please let me know if this is too dark. It looks fine on my laptop, but when I opened it on the school computers it was almost black, so let me know if you can't see it very well.

Final project for my Visual Design class- subject matter and media were totally open to us.

A scene from Gabriel's past. This part is actually supposed to take place a century earlier, but I felt like the 19th century setting fit the mood better (and I only had 2 days to do this and had already sketched it out before I realized "Oh crap, wrong time period...oh well, I'm the only one that knows that" :XD:)

And a few people have asked me if Gabriel is supposed to be Jack the Ripper. No, he's not. Same time period, yes, but otherwise they're not at all related. In case you were wondering....

The colors are a bit dark, but it's still a good piece. Very vivid and moving.

I believe in Jesus Christ, my Savior. If you do too, copy and paste this into your signature.

Treat others the way you want to be treated.

If we spent every minute of our lives thanking God for all that He has done, that still wouldn't be enough.

A little hard work never killed anybody.

I agree, the color scheme is definitely dark, but I think it came out right - the lightness of his skin, for example, provides contrast, and it's not overwhelming.

Poor Gabriel =( Makes me wonder what quite happened!

This is amazing! (Even if you did cheat with the setting. :D)

I love the little details in it, especially the bubbles in the water and how haggard he looks.

It was meant to be dark, but when I saw it on the other computer it was too dark. Just as long as you can see the different colors I'm happy. :)

Thank you!
