Description
My submission for *Saimain's contest: Her character Faeren wandering in the Forest of Illusions (pre-transformation). The entire PSD document has over 50 layers 
. Way more than I'm used to. My computer didn't like it one bit, but I told it to shut up and deal with it because it was totally worth it. For once in my life I didn't mind doing a background. I discovered that gnarled, twisty trees are really fun to draw. Almost as fun as Faeren's hair

The sketch took roughly 3 hours (if you subtract all the minutes of me staring at it trying to figure out what needed fixing) and coloring was about 3 days.
Faeren, the Forest of Illusions, and everything else belong to *Saimain
