This took way longer than it should have. Got distracted by work and track practice, not to mention my computer lags like crazy now and it takes about 2 minutes for it to register a couple of brushstrokes. Can't wait to get my own new laptop for college....
Anyways, the picture itself: Gabriel again. His story is finally starting to come together and I've felt inspired to do lots of pictures for it lately. I really hate drawing buildings, but I like how they came out. In fact, I think this is my favorite background to date.
Another one for AP. I've got about 3 weeks to finish 5 projects, it's crunch time!! *scampers off to work on more*
I love the soft brush strokes you used, the lighting, the composition, especially the buildings in the back, those have incredible detail. You've done an excellent job! It's for school, isn't it?
this is spectacular, Britt! The lighting, the fog, the background.... mmm, it all comes together in one wonderful slice of DELICIOUS. I especially especially love his HAIR. And hat.
Ahhh, how well I remember those last few weeks in AP Studio Art... what I ended up doing was going through my old artwork and finding pieces that vaguely fit my theme, and including those rather than trying to create new pieces. Anything more than a piece every two weeks was basically impossible for me, so I had to... y'know... improvise.
I'm glad to see the background turned out so well! I know you say you hate them, but this seems like a big step forward to me. I sympathize with the computer thing. I gave up on mine long ago. You must be more stubborn than I am. XP
